OBITUARY...
Funeral services for Donald French will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 27, 2006 at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home with Paul Kearby of the Church of Christ officiating. Visitation will be held from 3:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 26, 2006 at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.

Don French, age 56, of Gillette, Wyoming died on Saturday, July 22, 2006 at the Campbell County Memorial Hospital from complications of a car accident.

Don Perle French, known to his family and friends as Don and affectionately to some as Frenchie was born June 14, 1950 the son of LeRoyal and Mildred (Bush) French in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Don was raised and educated throughout South Dakota due to location changes in his father?s career. In 1968 Don graduated from Rapid City Central High School. Upon his schooling Don worked with his brother, Jim in Iowa for a few years. He returned to South Dakota where he met Martha Ulmer. They were married on June 18, 1971 in Lead, South Dakota. Later that year the couple made their home in Gillette where Don worked for Carter Mining which is the present day Powder River Coal until 1999. Don?s hobbies included hunting, fishing, bowling and playing pool. He enjoyed working with gems and making jewelry for his girls and grandchildren. Don had an overwhelming love for his grandkids, a kind heart and a good sense of humor.

He will be missed by his wife of thirty-five years, Marty; 2 daughters: Kaylene and Marlaina French all of Gillette, Wyoming; 4 brothers: Richard French and wife Louise of Aberdeen, South Dakota, Dennis French of Washougal, Washington, Larry French and his wife Barbara of Rapid City, South Dakota and Terry French and his wife Shirley of Fort Collins, Colorado; 3 grandchildren: Nicky, Tyler and Crissy.

Don was preceded in death by his parents; 1 brother, Jim and granddaughter Sammy.
