OBITUARY...
Douglas “Doug” Lyle Arnoldt passed away September 15, 2019 at Regional Hospice Care in Rapid City.
Doug was born October 24, 1950 to Otto and Minnie (Jesfield) Arnoldt at the Calvert Maternity Home in Spearfish, S.D.
Doug attended 11 years of schooling in Spearfish and moved to Rapid City in 1967 with his mother where he graduated from Central High School. Doug went on to further his education and graduated from the Rapid City Nursing School, the Police Academy and Law Enforcement Schools.
He had been employed in the medical field and law enforcement departments in Rapid City, Hettinger, ND, Kansas City, KS and Baker Mt.
Doug married Claudina Wagner in 1972 at Rapid City, and adopted a daughter, Stephanie. They were later divorced.
He is survived by his daughter, Stephanie (Jeremy) Jerguson and three grandchildren, Alaina, Sam, and Nate, all living in Kansas City, KS. His half- brothers, Francis (JoAn) Madler of Spearfish, Bernard “Barney” (Gail) Madler of Rapid City, a special nephew, Jeff Madler of Spearfish and several nephews, nieces and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and half-brother Charles “Bud” Madler and his wife Dorothy.
He will have a private family inurnment graveside service at Rosehill Cemetery on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 conducted by Rev. Dan Backens of Chesapeake, VA.
