OBITUARY...
Candace LaRae Dodson, 50, Sturgis, died Sunday, Sept. 10, 2000, at Rapid City Regional Hospital.

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 14, and from 8 a.m. to service time Friday, Sept. 15, at Kinkade Funeral Chapel.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Kinkade Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Tom Haggar officiating. Burial will follow at Bear Butte Cemetery.

Candace was born Sept. 1, 1950, at Sturgis, to Glenn A. Sr. and Erma B. (Shuck) Dodson. She graduated from Rapid City Central in 1968. She attended Black Hills State University in Spearfish and graduated in 1972. She devoted her life to teaching special education for Native American children.

Survivors include three sisters, Glenda Moorhead and Betty Tesch, both of Rapid City, and Verla Winslow, Rockford, Ill.; two brothers, Art Dodson, Sturgis, and Virgil Dodson, Spearfish; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and aunts.

Her parents preceded her in death.
