OBITUARY...
Nancy Heltsley, 65, passed away on Feb. 12, 2016, after a courageous 18-month battle with cancer.
Nancy Hope Williams was born March 8, 1950, in Rapid City, SD, to Frank and Irene Williams. She graduated from Rapid City High School in 1969, but always considered herself “Class of 68”. She married the love of her life, Steve Heltsley, on May 12, 1967. They had two children, Bryan and Melanie. The family moved to Fort Collins in 1979.
Nancy was a breakfast and lunch chef for 45 years. She enjoyed gardening, hiking, bowling, sewing, rock painting, the Denver Broncos, Colorado sunshine, and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Steve Heltsley; son, Bryan; daughter, Melanie; three granddaughters, Kaysha, Kamee, and Addy; sisters-in-law, Sharon Wilson (Tom) of Windsor, Janis Volk (Leo) of Rapid City, Gayla Haakinson (Dick) of Phoenix, and Donna Holwegner (Jim) of Fort Collins; sisters, Jo Ponder, Bonnie Williams, Linda Williams, and brother Doug (Gloria), all of Rapid City. Preceding Nancy in death were her parents. Nancy also wished to express a big thank you to special friends Angie and Tina.
A Celebration of Nancy’s life will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, at 2726 Bianco Drive in Fort Collins. A Celebration of Life will also be held in Rapid City in July.
