Retired from the US Navy after nearly 24 years as a Lcdr. My final ship was the Battleship Missouri BB63. I have 5 children with 3 of them remaining in the area. Currently working as a campground host at Hatcreek campground Angestora State Park.
OBITUARY...
Michael Gillen was born on July 30, 1950 and went to be with his Lord on Oct. 1, 2022 at Fort Meade Medical Hospital in Fort Meade, South Dakota.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son-in-law, and numerous aunts and uncles.
He is survived by his wife, Karla Gillen, his daughters, DJ (Rick) Carney, Anna (David) Carr, Sheryl Vaughn, his sons Mark and Charles Gillen.
He is also survived by Irelynd and Liam Carney, Patrick, Madison, Caroline, and Riley Carr, Ilsa Rosemary Kay Gillen, Boden and Atlas Gillen, and Harper and Ava Vaughn.
He is also survived by five brothers and three sisters and many other relatives and friends.
