OBITUARY...
Lewis Craig “Buddy” Harden, 61, of Martinsburg, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at City Hospital.
Born October 10, 1949 in Martinsburg, he was the son of Georgia “Sheely” Parker and Charles R. Parker, of Rapid City, SD, and the late Donald James.
Mr. Harden was a graduate of Central High School in Rapid City, SD, and attended Eastern Oklahoma State College.
He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, a correctional officer at the Eastern Regional Jail and retired from the U. S. Army Reserves.
He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion.
Mr. Harden attended Bedington United Methodist Church.
In addition to his mother and step-father, he is survived by his wife of 41 years, Mary “Welty” Harden; two sons, Lewis Craig Harden II, and wife Traci, of Martinsburg; and Steven Paul Harden and companion Brandi, of Hanover, PA; seven grandchildren and one brother, Donald Eugene Harden, of Hot Springs, SD.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, August 15, 2011 at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. John Rudisill officiating. Military graveside service will be held at Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, August 14th at the funeral home.
