Wow 50 years! After continuing my education - 2 years U of Wyo., 3 years under grad. nursing school U of Co., working a year on Neurology/Neurosurgery UC hospital in Denver, then grad. school for Masters in Psychiatric Nursing, next worked a year in Psychiatric Hospital, then did that part time and belly danced professionally part time. Belly dancing was amazing. Did my Masters project interviewing students in belly dance classes about how the dance affected their physical, psychological, social, and spiritual health. All this had me set to get a job as a therapist at the Mental Health center in Steamboat Springs, Co. Met Jeffrey soon after arriving in Steamboat, married, then six months later was in a terrible accident caused by a drunk driver. Broke my 4th Lumbar vertebrae and had a closed head injury. Had 2 wonderful boys (both married with a son) and when getting divorced after 10 years got a job as the first and only nurse for a community center board for persons with developmental disabilities. Amazing individuals! Retired after 19 years working part time. Now, I'm quite slowed down because of a back fusion of 12 vertebrae, 2 hip replacements, 2 knee replacements, screws in both feet and nerve problems in both legs, right worse than left. Still leading exercise classes when teacher doesn't show up and riding my power assisted tricycle. A long story that I might shorten later. That's my life.
