OBITUARY...
William C. Stewart was laid to rest in Maturin, Venezuela; South America on November 4, 2003. South America had been his home for over 10 years.

He was currently working as a consultant for an oil company. He was part owner of a sports bar known as Golfito. Bill was born in 1950 in Great Falls, Montana and graduated from Rapid City Central High School in 1968.

Bill had spent many years in Rapid City where he was in the Army National Guard, attended the School of Mines, and worked for Black Hills Packing Plant for 11 years.
In 1980 he had moved his family to North Dakota where he started his life of the oil business. Maxus Exploration was the oil company that eventually transferred him from Glendive, Montana to Quito, Ecuador.

Bill is survived by his two brothers, Robert Stewart of Custer, South Dakota, Samuel Stewart of Albuquerque, New Mexico. His 3 children, Shannon Stewart-Collins of Rozet, Wyoming, Barbara Sophia Stewart of Venezuela, and Kyle Stewart of Austin Texas. His granddaughter Delaney Olson of Bismarck, North Dakota.

Bill still had many long-time friends and always left a lasting memory for everyone who was fortunate enough to meet him. He enjoyed hunting, snowmobiling, and was a dedicated Colorado Sports Fan and loved his life of the oil business.

A gathering of his friends to remember his life will be held at Elk Creek Steakhouse in Piedmont, South Dakota on November 28, 2003 at 7:00 p.m.
