February 20, 1950 - April 24, 2025

Joseph Lawrence Theberge passed away on April 24, 2025, in Rapid City, South Dakota, at the age of 75.

Born on February 20, 1950, in Newell, South Dakota, Joseph was the son of Dr. Lawrence L. and Norma Theberge, both of whom preceded him in death. In 1958, the family relocated to Rapid City, where Joseph would spend much of his life.

Joseph earned a degree from BSU and pursued a career in construction. His professional path reflected a wide-ranging and extensive background in the industry, marked by adaptability and dedication across many facets of the field.

In 1988, Joseph married Janean Williamson. Their marriage was a meaningful chapter in Joseph's life until Janean's passing. Joseph was also preceded in death by their sister, Madeline Theberge.

He is lovingly remembered by their children, Genevieve Theberge, Lawrence Theberge and grandson Samuel L. Theberge. Joseph's legacy continues through them and through the many lives touched by their presence.

Memorial service will take place on May 16th at the Happy Tavern in Johnsons Siding 4 p.m.
