OBITUARY...
Rick Robinson 68, resident of Conifer for 35 years peacefully passed away at his daughters home in Evergreen on April 26th 2018.
Rick was born in Jacksonville Florida, he was the son of Ret. Major James Willis Robinson and Betty Carolyn Robinson. Rick, being a military brat, found himself in a new town, making new friends every few years. He graduated Rapid City High School in 1968. Rick was a very talented guitar player, in high school he played in a band named “The Villagers.” Rick liked to refer to his band as “The only surfing band in South Dakota.”
After settling in Conifer, he worked as a heavy equipment operator for Denver and locally based construction companies. He founded RAMTRAX Excavating in 1998 which he owned and operated 20 years until his recent death. Rick is survived by his daughter Alicia Carpenter and granddaughter Reagan Carpenter.
Rick enjoyed having a good time and loved to make people laugh, in his honor, a memorial party will be held May 6th at 1 p.m. at 6106 S. Brook Forest Rd at The ESCO Meadow near his daughter’s home to celebrate his life. He will be missed dearly.
