I went into the Navy to avoid the draft after graduating from Tech in 1972 and spent 10 years on active duty, touching the ground in over 30 countries and 49 States. Subsequently I went to grad school in Boulder, CO, and married my wife Janet, an Air Force nurse I had met in Gulfport, MS. We've lived in Arkansas, Washington and Kentucky and are now back in AR. Our grown children include a son and daughter-in-law in St.Louis, a son with the Detroit Symphony living with his wife in Ann Arbor, one daughter here playing with Arkansas Symphony and The Gravel Yard band and our youngest daughter who is flying C-130 Hercules out of Little Rock AFB.
