OBITUARY...
Born May 26 1950...Died June 3rd 2025
Sandy Kay Trowbridge (Matthiessen), beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully, “ on June 3, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, warmth, and dedication. She was born on May 26, 1950, in Rapid City, South Dakota, one of three children of Earl and Clotis Matthiesen.
Sandy’s life was marked by hard work, devotion to her family, and a zest for the simple joys in life. She spent over 20 years working at McKie Ford, where she was known not just for her strong work ethic, but for her friendly spirit and generous heart. As she managed her department her many colleagues and employees grew very close to her. After retiring, Sandy embraced the things she loved most, she had a knack for gardening, loved fishing, cooking delicious meals for loved ones, and cherishing every moment spent with her family.
She is survived by her devoted husband, David Trowbridge; her son, Scott Loudner; her stepdaughters Christina, Lizette, Jessica, and Brenda; her sister, Vicky Alton; and many adored grandchildren who brought her immense pride and joy. Her warmth, laughter, and unconditional love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Sandy’s legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched with her kindness, her strength, and her unwavering love for those around her.
She is a reminder that although life is temporary love is not. She will be forever remembered and forever loved
